WHAT GOES ON?
Lighthouse
Lighthouse exists to help 9–12 year olds establish and deepen real relationships with Jesus Christ. Lighthouse runs fortnightly on Saturdays from 6:00–7:30pm. During this time kids will have time to catch up and fellowship with each other, we will spend time with and for each other, sing songs and open up the bible together.
Each term will have a focus and the games and activities will relate to the term focus. At the end of each Term we always have a less formal “fun” night to celebrate the end of term.

Jesus Club
Jesus Club isn't just a club for the convinced—it’s a lunch zone for the curious. If you’ve ever wanted to dissect the claims of Christianity, challenge a viewpoint, or figure out what the truth really is, S5 is the place to be on Thursdays.
Grab your lunch, bring a mate and join a community that isn't afraid to open God's Word and ask the big questions.

Our Goal
Jesus Club is a lunchtime meeting held at Cashmere High School on Thursdays in S5. Jesus Club's primary goal is to share the Gospel with the unsaved at Cashmere High. At Jesus Club you can expect Apologetic style talks, Questions that lead to thoughtful conversations and opening up God's word to see what the truth really is.

Street Mission
Street ministry is about meeting people exactly where they are, bringing the hope of the Gospel out of the pews and into our neighbourhood.
For us as Christians, it’s a beautiful opportunity to be "salt and light" in the very places we live and work, sharing God's grace with those who might never step through a church door.
By stepping out together, we get to serve as a friendly, living invitation to the community, showing our neighbours that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

Our Mission
Every Saturday morning at 10:30am, a team of people go out to hand out gospel tracts and preach the gospel on the streets of Christchurch.
We meet at the Bridge of Remembrance, and finish around 12pm for a coffee and a debrief. This ministry is open to all who want to share the good news of Jesus with the lost.
Feel free to come along and just pray and watch if you are unsure where to start when it comes to evangelism!

The Key
No matter a person's stage of life or where they are residing, we believe God's love and grace are always within reach. The Key is our dedicated outreach ministry focused on honoring, visiting, and sharing the Good News with seniors in our local community.
Our team is passionate about creating regular spaces for worship, encouragement, and deep connection for those who need it.

A Ministry for Seniors
We are a team who believe that it is never too late for God to reach anyone. And so to this effect we go to rest homes and take the Gospel message. We currently have 5 homes we attend on a set day each month and also one that we fit in with when they need us.
On top of going to the homes, we also host at least twice a year for Easter and Christmas at Church.We would love to tell you more! if you would like to know more please talk to Leanne or anyone on the staff list below.

Fellowship
Cheesy Tuesday is a welcoming gathering held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings from 10:00am–11:00am in the church lounge at the front of the hall. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy delicious homemade cheese scones with tea or coffee in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Alongside great fellowship, we share a short biblical devotion and enjoy spending time together. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, be encouraged in your faith, and build meaningful friendships. Why not bring a friend, family member, or neighbour and join us for a warm welcome, good conversation, and a great morning together?

Kids Holiday Programme
Looking for the ultimate school holiday experience? KHP is where energy meets purpose! Every programme brings a brand-new theme to life through epic games, awesome crafts, and high-energy music—all designed to share the life-changing truth of what Jesus did on the cross with kids from all across our community.

Spark the Light
Our Kids Holiday Programmes are kids aged 7-12. Our focus is to share the truth of Jesus with unsaved kids in our community. Each programme will have a theme that will point back to the truth of the Gospel. We sing songs, play games, make awesome crafts and teach kids about what Christ did for them on the cross.
KHP is also an opportunity for the Church body to serve, whether in the kitchen helping make morning tea, doing craft preparations or being a leader with the kids.

Overseas Mission
We are committed to supporting effective ministry across multiple nations. Through a dedicated oversight team, we direct resources, coordinate prayer support, and deploy missionaries to areas of need.

How we Help
We have an extensive overseas mission focus covering more than one country. Our mission team meets to determine prayer support, sending of missionaries, and allocation of resources for mission overseas.
Mission overseas has long been at the heart of Beckenham and we regularly encourage the whole church to play some part in this. Including mission trips, self denial, and targeted resource allocation.
