As winter gives way to spring, we see the world around us coming alive again. Trees begin to blossom, flowers push through the soil, and the days grow warmer and brighter. After the cold and darkness of winter, spring reminds us that God is a God of renewal and new beginnings.

The changing seasons are a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. Scripture tells us, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest…shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). Year after year, God faithfully sustains His creation, reminding us that His promises never fail.

Spring can also remind us of the new life we have through Christ. There may be seasons in our own lives when we feel spiritually dry, discouraged or as though nothing is growing. Yet God is still at work, even when we cannot see it. He can bring fresh hope, restore our joy and cause new growth in our hearts.

Perhaps this spring is a good time to ask God: “Lord, what would You like to make new in me?” May we allow Him to remove what is hindering our growth and trust Him to produce the fruit of His Spirit in our lives.

One of the deepest burdens we can carry is seeing someone we love live without knowing Jesus. We may long for them to experience the forgiveness, hope and new life that we have found in Christ, yet sometimes we wonder if our prayers are making any difference. Scripture reminds us that God desires people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We can therefore pray with confidence, knowing that the salvation of our loved ones matters deeply to God.

Keep bringing their names before Him. Pray that God would soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth, and place faithful Christians in their path. Pray for opportunities to speak about Jesus with grace and courage, but also remember that salvation is ultimately God's work.

Don't become discouraged if you don't see immediate change. Some answers to prayer take years. God may be working in ways we cannot see. Our responsibility is to remain faithful - to pray, to love, to live consistently for Christ, and to leave the results in God's hands.

Never underestimate the power of a praying Christian. Your family member may not yet be seeking God, but God is seeking them. So keep praying, keep trusting, and keep believing that nothing is too difficult for the Lord.

The Westminster Shorter Catechism begins with a simple but profound question: “What is the chief end of man?” The answer is: “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.”

These words remind us that our lives are not ultimately about ourselves. We were created by God and for God. Our purpose is to bring Him glory in everything we do - to reflect His character, honour His name, and make Him known to those around us.

Glorifying God isn't reserved for Sunday mornings or great acts of service. We glorify Him in the ordinary things: in how we speak to our families, how we treat others, how we respond when life is difficult, and how faithfully we carry out the responsibilities He has given us.

And wonderfully, glorifying God is not a burdensome duty. The Catechism reminds us that we are also made to enjoy Him forever. There is joy in knowing our Creator, trusting Him, walking with Him and discovering that He is sufficient for every season of life.

Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father.” — Matthew 5:16

Faithfulness is one of the quietest, yet most powerful qualities of a life devoted to God. It is not always found in great achievements or dramatic moments. Often faithfulness is simply choosing to trust God and obey Him, day after day, even when we cannot see what He is doing.

God Himself is faithful. His promises do not change, His love does not fail, and He never abandons His children. Because He is faithful to us, we can learn to be faithful to Him.

There may be seasons when serving God feels unnoticed, when prayers seem unanswered, or when circumstances are difficult. But God sees every act of obedience, every prayer whispered in private, and every time we choose to keep trusting Him.

Faithfulness means remaining committed when the excitement fades, continuing when the journey is hard, and believing that God is working even when we cannot see the outcome.

We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow. So let us keep walking with Him, trusting Him, and remaining faithful - because “Great is Thy faithfulness.”
