The goodness of God is one of the most comforting truths in Scripture. Every day, whether we recognise it or not, we are surrounded by evidence of His kindness, mercy, and faithfulness. The rising sun, the love of family and friends, the strength to face another day, and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ all testify to God's goodness.

Yet God's goodness is not dependent on our circumstances. There are seasons when life is difficult, prayers seem unanswered, and burdens feel heavy. Even then, God remains good. His character never changes. What we cannot see today, He sees clearly. What we do not understand, He is already working for our good and His glory.

The greatest demonstration of God's goodness is found at the cross. Through Jesus, God provided forgiveness, hope, and eternal life for all who believe. His goodness reaches beyond our temporary struggles and secures our eternal future.

Let’s take time daily to reflect on the ways God has been faithful in our lives. Thank Him for His goodness, trust Him in the challenges we face, and rest in the assurance that His love for us will never fail.

Communion is one of the most precious acts of worship given to believers. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus took bread and a cup and instructed His disciples, “Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). Communion is not merely a religious ritual; it is a powerful reminder of the grace, love, and sacrifice of Christ.

The bread reminds us that Jesus willingly gave His body to be broken for us. The cup reminds us that His blood was shed to bring forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God. Every time we partake of Communion, we proclaim the death and resurrection of Christ and celebrate the salvation He purchased on our behalf.

Communion is also a time for reflection. Paul encourages believers to examine themselves before participating (1 Corinthians 11:28). It is an opportunity to confess sin, renew our fellowship with God, and remember that we are completely dependent upon His grace.

At the Lord’s Table, we find both humility and hope. We remember the cost of our redemption, but we also look forward to the day when Christ returns and we share in His heavenly banquet.

Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Iron becomes sharper through friction, pressure, and contact. In the same way, God often uses other believers to shape our character, strengthen our faith, and help us grow spiritually. Growth is not always comfortable. Sometimes a trusted friend lovingly corrects us. Other times, we are encouraged by someone who reminds us to keep going when we feel weary. Christian fellowship is one of God’s tools for refining His people. Left alone, we can become dull, discouraged, or spiritually stagnant. But when we walk closely with godly people, we are challenged to pursue Christ more deeply.

Jesus surrounded Himself with disciples, teaching them, correcting them, and encouraging them. The early church also devoted themselves to fellowship, prayer, and building one another up. God never intended us to walk the Christian life alone.

Let’s take time to consider who is sharpening us - and who we are sharpening in return. Are our friendships drawing us closer to Christ? In prayer, let’s ask God to help us be both teachable and encouraging, willing to receive wisdom and willing to strengthen others with grace and truth.

Life changes can come suddenly or slowly. A new season, a loss, a move, changing relationships, unexpected news, or even a change within ourselves can leave us feeling uncertain. Yet Scripture reminds us that while our circumstances may change, God does not.

In the middle of transition, it is easy to focus on what is ending instead of what God may be beginning. But often the Lord does some of His deepest work in seasons of change. He teaches us to trust Him more fully, to loosen our grip on comfort, and to depend on His guidance day by day. Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” God is always at work, even when the path ahead feels unclear.

Change can be uncomfortable, but it can also become holy ground where our faith grows stronger. The same God who carried us in the last season will carry us in the next one. He goes before us, walks beside us, and remains faithful through every uncertainty.
