This is defined as being so hungry that lack of food causes anger or frustration. It’s so true! I think we can become hangry on a spiritual level, too. Our hearts will long for the kind of nourishment only God can provide, and we’ll struggle to navigate life’s ups and downs until our spiritual hunger is tamed. But repeatedly God reminds me He will satisfy and fill me up even more and even better than anything the world can offer. And while foods like fresh bread, vegetables, meat and chocolate can tame our tummy, the only way to satisfy our soul is to feast on God’s Word. You and I were created to hunger after God more than anything the world offers. It means when bad news comes, we get on our knees and pray. We take our pain and fear to Him first. We put God at the top of our to-do lists, not the bottom. It means we don’t treat Him like leftovers, something we reluctantly grab when nothing else satisfies.Relying on anything other than God to feed our souls will keep us in an ordinary, common relationship with Him. Instead of embracing His power, strength and wisdom, we settle for the world’s morsels. Unless we choose to feast on God’s promises, we’ll spiritually starve ourselves. With love & blessings, Sandra

Is it shepherd, poet, giant-killer, king...... or is it betrayer, liar, adulterer or murderer? The first lists qualities we might all like to have and the second qualities that we might not so much.....though we have all lied at some stage I'm sure! The point is that the Bible makes no effort to hide David's failures. Yet he is remembered and respected for his heart for God and in fact God refers to David as "a man after my own heart" in Acts 13:22.David had an unchangeable belief in the faithful and forgiving nature of God. He was a man who lived with great passion. He sinned many times but he was quick to confess his sins. His confessions were from the heart and his repentance genuine. We can learn a lot from David's life. Although we are sinners this will never separate us from the love of God for "if we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness". We don't have to live under the weight of sin but instead come before God and in sincerity ask for His forgiveness. This is the message of the cross in which we find true freedom. With love & blessings, Sandra
Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.Time is a most valuable commodity. Since it’s irreversible and irreplaceable, we ought to give careful consideration to how we spend our days—and even our minutes. Time is a gift from God. That means we are not owners but stewards and will one day be held accountable for how we used what was entrusted to us.Those who realise that their days belong to God are careful how they live. Their goal is to understand the Lord’s will and align their schedules and activities with His purposes. As they seek guidance each day through intimate fellowship with Him in the Word and prayer, their spiritual eyes are opened to discern which opportunities are from the Father and which are not a part of His plans for them. Some live only for their own pleasures while missing out on God’s purpose for their lives. However, others may be very busy and extremely successful by worldly standards, but if their days are occupied with activities that aren’t God’s will for them, they’re wasting their time.To make the most of your opportunities, begin each day with the Lord, submitting to His will and asking that He direct your activities. With love & blessings, Sandra
