One of the most powerful things we can do in our lives to get rid of negative emotions, turmoil in our minds and wrong attitudes is to worship and praise God. No matter what is happening in our lives God is always worthy of our praise.

It's so important to remember the good things God has done in our lives and to tell others about them. This brings God the glory and points others to Him. In Psalm 145:4 it says "One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts". We must openly give thanks and praise to God for the great things He has done in our lives to all those around us. This helps us to lift our eyes off ourselves and onto Him. In the book of Esther the Jews decided that they would regularly remember and celebrate how they defeated their enemies, "that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family....and that the memory of them should not perish among their descendants". 

We always have something to be grateful for......what is it for you today?

Scientists have often marveled at the sheer magnitude of details that had to align perfectly to make our existence possible. Earth’s precise location in the solar system, its protective magnetic field, life-sustaining atmosphere, and countless other factors make it a unique place where we live. We are living, breathing miracles, a testament to the intelligence and intentionality of our Creator! What does God’s design tell us about Him? God has revealed Himself as supremely vast, capable of placing the sun, moon and stars in the sky. But He also made the intricate details of an ant & the veins of a leaf. Despite how powerful and vast God is, He is involved in the intricate details of His carefully made creation.

In the book of Genesis we read of the vast universe and the intimate human experience. In the very first verse in Genesis we read, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” So not only did He make the vast universe, He also made the detailed, intimate right here on earth. Creation isn’t the work of a distant God but one who is profoundly personal and caring.

The Bible says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” The same vast and unending God who spun galaxies into existence also knows our name. So do not worry about tomorrow but trust in the One who made you.

Have you ever been in a season of life where you have no idea what God is doing?

In the book of Esther, God is never named. It never says, “God did this” or “God said that.” In some terrible unfolding circumstances that threatened to destroy an entire people group, it’s apparent that only God could have orchestrated their miraculous rescue. In Esther’s story, God’s work starts behind the scenes as His people pray, fast, and act courageously. Then, suddenly, after a young queen named Esther has done all that’s in her power to do, God dramatically and wonderfully does what only He can do. God turns everything meant for evil into good, resulting in promotion, blessing and life.

Jesus said that His Father is always working and so is He. He also said, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will”. When we can’t see, this is what we can say: “God, thank you that even when it’s not visible to me, even You are always at work.” (John 5:17)

As Christians we have been given both a privilege and a great responsibility. The privilege is that we have received forgiveness for our sins by grace through our faith in Jesus. This is totally undeserved yet God has given us all this free gift if we choose to accept it.

We have also received the responsibility to share the message of God's forgiveness with others. When we receive God's forgiveness we begin and commit ourselves to a new way of life. We see that Paul was called as a missionary to do this - and thousands of others have also been called to this task overseas throughout the years. God may or may not call us overseas to share the gospel, but He does call us and all believers to witness to and be an example of the changed life that Jesus Christ has begun and continues in us. As we go about our daily lives, let's pray that God will bring someone across our path each day that we can share the gospel with.
