It is a life-altering drama with an incredible sense of urgency. We’ve been hand-picked for the cast and summoned by the author. Our invitation was planned before we were born. Our role was specifically created with us in mind. We’re here to be a testimony of God’s love that tells His story to the world. That’s why God chose us!The real hero of the story is of course Jesus. God sent Jesus to rescue the earth and to restore the world. He came to deliver all people from a life of slavery, suffering and death. It is of course no fairy tale or made up drama. It is a fight for freedom and a love story all in one. By saying ‘yes’ to Jesus we commit to telling others about the world’s rescuer - Jesus and what He has done in our life. That is our story. We’ve been invited to be the light in this story when one day the final curtain will close. In the mean time we must carry out our role and always be ready as the Spirit leads to fulfil the role that we have been entrusted to. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.Whenever Easter approaches we find ourselves thinking about the death and resurrection of Jesus. The purpose of Christ's life was to offer himself as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. The Bible says that Jesus became sin for us so that we could be forgiven and found righteous in God's sight. Jesus was so certain of His purpose that He predicted when and how He would die.This verse comes to mind as I reflect on Easter - Hebrews 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Listen to those words..... ' who for the JOY set before Him'. Jesus wasn't looking at the present - He was looking to the future and all that God had in store for Him as He was obedient to the Father and His will for Him.And the same applies to us - we will endure hardships as we walk with Jesus but He promises us in His Word that He will never leave or forsake us.....and oh what JOY we will receive when we finally go to live with Him in Heaven.HE IS RISEN - HE IS RISEN INDEED.With love & blessings, Sandra

They feel lost, lonely and helpless, They need somewhere to turn for guidance and hope. Jesus understood this need so He made a way to counteract the darkness. He tasked His followers with providing the necessary light for the world. The good news is that we're not called to generate our own light, but instead to reflect Christs light.The temptation to hide our light can be powerful. When we shine our light we can be seen - and some don't appreciate that. They try to knock us over, accuse us falsely or even say things to our face. This can sow doubt in our lives, but we must remain strong and true to our calling in Jesus. The best way to do this is to draw near to Jesus. The closer we are to Jesus, the stronger our light is and the firmer we will be able to stand our ground.The rewards of shining our light can also be powerful. Our light may be the only source of illumination some people have. By reflecting Jesus' glory and pointing the way to Him, we have the potential to change their lives forever."Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matt 5:16)With love & blessings, Sandra

When we agree with what God says about us, our minds are renewed, and our choices and habits and character improve. One of the best ways to understand God’s perspective about ourselves is through daily confession and speaking out of His Word.In Isaiah 55:11 we read “so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it”. Speaking His Word and the truths it contains over our lives daily, dismantles wrong thinking and develops right thinking. Speaking it out cements it in our hearts and enables us to call on it in times of need. So let’s be reading and speaking out God’s word on a daily basis.With love & blessings, Sandra
