It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.We all want to hear God's voice, but how do you know if it's God's voice or your voice? When we do hear Him how do we respond? What does it look like to follow God on a daily basis? The key is 'abiding in the Spirit'.The word abide means to stay, to dwell, to remain, to continue or to live. In order to abide in the Spirit we have to have a continual dying of ourselves on a daily basis. Jesus clearly explains in Luke 9:23 -24 that 'whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it."The only way we can die to our old nature is to fully rely on Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit in us. We are not created new in Christ to be independent and self sufficient. God wants us to depend on Him, regardless of our circumstances. Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.This week I have been dwelling on Psalm 18 which begins - “I love you Lord; You are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my Saviour; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise and HE saved me from my enemies.”David was led from victory to victory. Further on in the Psalm he says “As for God, His way is perfect....”. In other words, he had nothing to complain about, he was not dissatisfied. The rest of the psalm is a complete testimony of constant victory and of the total destruction of the enemy. The Psalm ends with praises to God who has shown mercy on David.God has not changed one bit during all these years. As He treated David, so He treats you and I. He is not partial. Back to verse 1 - “I will love you Lord, You are my strength”. He is our everything. Bring your burdens, your concerns, your fears and your struggles to Him - in Him we trust.With love & blessings, Sandra

Is it like me and by an alarm - and then do you hit the snooze button....?! Do you lie in bed and slowly wake up or do you leap out of bed when you’re awake? There are many ways to wake up, but most of us probably lie in bed for a moment or longer to orient ourselves. As you begin to orient yourself do you begin to think about your day and what lies ahead of you? What do your thoughts dwell on?Everyday we have a choice to make when we wake up. Will our day be for God or for ourselves? It is amazing how quickly we can make ourselves, our schedules and our to-do lists become centre most in our minds without giving a passing thought to God who we proclaim as Lord and Saviour.If you don’t already, can I encourage us all to take a moment to identify the things, the thoughts, the activities and/or the emotions that can distract us each day and keep us from worshiping God and serving Him. Let’s make Him the first thing we dwell on in the morning so we place Him first......and then watch how your day plays out!With love & blessings, Sandra

It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.It was so encouraging at the end of last weeks service on 'Vision' to see people standing (ministering to the saved) and sitting (ministering to the unsaved) across the age spectrum and across the 'axis' of word, sign and deed. It seemed to me that all areas were covered!As we press in to the vision God has given us as His church (Creating Christ's community give Hope to the unreached and reached..........) we will all be involved in different ways using the different gifts God has given us. But of course the most important tool we have to begin with is prayer. This must be the foundation of everything we do.With the commencement of CJC (Cashmere Jesus Club) at Cashmere High School last week and seeing such an overwhelming response from the youth, there is no doubt in my mind that it comes down primarily to the huge amount of prayer that has gone before this. God is faithful! And He calls us to be faithful in continuing to pray for what He is calling us to.To this end can I encourage you to come along to our weekly Thursday prayer meeting at 12 noon and/or our monthly Wednesday night prayer meeting held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.With love & blessings, Sandra
