God never intended for us to walk the Christian life alone. From the beginning, He created us for relationship - both with Him and with one another. Life groups offer a powerful way to live out this design. They are more than a weekly meeting - they are places of spiritual growth, honest conversation, mutual prayer, and encouragement.

In a life group, we find accountability and support that helps us stay grounded in our faith. We grow through shared Bible study, life experiences, and the practical application of God’s Word. It’s in these smaller gatherings that deep friendships can be formed and we can find friends who rejoice with us in victories and stand with us in trials.

Jesus modelled community with His disciples. In the same way, life groups give us a space to be known and to know others. They become spiritual families, where love, truth, and grace flourish. If you’re not part of a life group here at BBC then I would encourage you to join one. God often uses these small groups to bring about big transformation. Let’s not walk alone but instead walk together in Christ.

In Psalm 85:6 the psalmist cries out to God “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (NKJV) In seasons of weariness or complacency, our hearts long for a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. Revival begins not in grand meetings but in quiet surrender - when one heart turns fully to Christ, igniting a flame that spreads.

Throughout Scripture, God’s people experienced revival when they repented, prayed, and sought His face. In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God promises to hear from heaven and heal the land if His people humble themselves. Revival flows from this attitude of humility and hunger.

Personal revival starts with asking God to search our hearts and restore our first love for Him. It leads to a renewed passion for His Word, deeper prayer, and bold love for others. When we are revived, joy increases, and worship in our lives overflows.

Do we need to ask the Lord to revive us - to restore what’s grown cold, renew what’s been forgotten, and reignite our love for Him?

Our salvation is not something we earn - it is something we receive. In a world that often tells us to prove our worth through effort, performance, or good behaviour, God offers a radically different message - we are saved by grace, through faith.

Faith is not merely believing that God exists. It is trusting fully in the finished work of Jesus Christ - His life, death, and resurrection - as our only hope for forgiveness and eternal life. We don’t come to God with our good deeds in hand, hoping they’ll be enough. We come empty-handed, knowing that Christ alone is enough.

This is incredibly freeing. It means we don’t have to fear falling short or wonder if we’ve done “enough”. Instead, we rest in the assurance that Jesus has done enough. His righteousness becomes ours, and our sins are forgiven, not because we’ve earned it, but because we’ve believed.

Let this truth humble us, strengthen our faith, and fill us with gratitude - we are saved, not by what we’ve done, but by trusting in what Christ has done for us.

Winter can often mirror a season of life - cold, quiet, and still. The trees are bare, the days short, and the warmth of the sun seems far away. It can feel as though nothing is growing and nothing is moving forward. But winter is not a season of death - it is a season of rest and preparation. Beneath the frozen ground, seeds lie dormant, storing energy, waiting for the right time to rise.

In our lives, we can face winters of the heart - seasons of discouragement, grief, or delay. But God is present even in the cold. His promises remain, even when we can’t see their fulfilment. The warmth of His presence is not always felt, but it is always near.

Be encouraged - God uses winter to strengthen our roots. He allows stillness to draw us closer and silence to help us listen. Just as spring always follows winter, our season of growth will come. Until then, we rest in Him. We trust His timing. Know that even in the quiet, God is working.

Today, let His Word be our fire, and His love our covering. The winter will not last forever.
