God spoke again and the water and lands were filled with plants and creatures, running, swimming, growing and mutiplying - words of animating, breathing, pulsing life. Again God spoke and man and woman were formed, thinking, speaking and loving - words of personal and creative glory. Eternal, inifinite, unlimited - God was, is and always will be the Maker and Lord of all that exists.And then He came in the flesh to a speck in the universe called planet earth. The mighty Creator became a part of the creation, limited by time and space and susceptible to aging, sickness and death. But love propelled Him, and so He came to rescue and save those who were lost and to give them the gift of eternity. He is the Word, He is Jesus, the Christ.With love & blessings,Sandra

The greatest author in the New Testament was confused and confined by weakness!Paul asked God to fix it three times but nothing changed. Instead God gave the promise that His power works best in weakness. Now that might seem a very unsatisfying answer - we don't want to be weak, we want to be strong. But it isn't about being strong despite our weaknesses, and it isn't about being strong after our weaknesses are gone. It is about being strong in and through and because of our weaknesses.Somehow, God is saying that the things that drive us crazy about ourselves might be central to the fulfilment of our potential. Our weaknesses don't disqualify us. They actually qualify us because they are the very thing that Gods power can work through.So let God work with your weaknesses and progress from there. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.It is common at the start of a New Year to hear people say or to read somewhere ‘New Year, New Me’. But what does that mean? A new diet, better financial principles, more or less exercise, a new this or that? These are all good things however firstly I prefer the saying ‘New Year, More of You Lord’.What does that look like? More time in His presence, more time in prayer, more time reading the Word, more time in worship, more time sitting at His feet and getting to know Jesus more....more being led by the Holy Spirit rather than in our own strength.I certainly know which will be more beneficial for me. I’ve started a new spiritual discipline this year - journaling. It’s something I have felt led to do and so far I’m really enjoying it and finding it really encouraging. Maybe there’s a ‘new’ something that the Lord is leading you into this year. Let me encourage you to take some time to sit at the feet of Jesus and discover what that might be for you.With love & blessings,Sandra

Every Christmas we sing the well known carol ‘Joy to the World’. As I was humming this carol the other day the line ‘let every heart, prepare Him room’ struck me. It’s hard to believe that there was no room in the inn for the Son of God. Imagine turning up to hospital to give birth and being told there was no room and to go and find somewhere else. There would be an outcry! Yet, when our Saviour was about to appear the world hung out a “no vacancy” sign, refusing to welcome Him.Often in the Christmas season I hear people saying things such as ‘I just wish Christmas was over’ and ‘I can’t stand this time of year’. And I wonder, have we really made room in our hearts for Him? Many things make Christmas a difficult time of year for many people – busyness, anger, bitterness, disappointment, pain, sorrow, doubt and even unbelief. And these are real feelings. But these things left undealt with can mean that there is no room in our hearts for Jesus.Maybe it’s time to serve some eviction notices to the things in our hearts that are pushing Jesus out of the way – maybe it’s time for some of us to prepare our hearts for Him. We need the Lord to fill not only a room in our heart, but the whole thing.When Jesus fills our heart we experience deep peace, hope, joy and a love that knows no bounds.May you truly have a wonderful and blessed Christmas this year.With love & blessings, Sandra
