Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”If we are going to live according to God’s purpose for our life, we have to know what we are all about. Any tool that is used for something other than what it was created for will not be effective. The best tool to drive in a nail is a hammer – not the bottom of a shoe like I may have been inclined to use in the past! The nail might go in to a degree but it won’t be the most effective it could be. You and I do have a purpose. We were created as ‘His workmanship’ so our lives are not to be without order or reason. God has some specific things mapped out for our life. We are not an accident. We have a purpose. If you haven’t discovered that yet, ask God today to show you that purpose.Love & blessings, Sandra

If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.TRUST GOD. Two words - they roll off the tongue with ease - when we’re counseling someone else! But how do we apply that to our lives? How do we trust God when we ‘feel’ down, when we don’t seem to be hearing from Him, when we’re in pain, when we’re grieving, when we don’t know what the next step is or are making an important decision?Two things come to mind. The first is that we need to stand on The Word which tells us to ‘trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding’. Yes we can talk to others and seek their advice and counsel but ultimately we need to be reading, studying and applying The Word of God in our lives. Secondly we can look back in our lives and see the times when God has answered our prayers, got us through the tough times and embraced us with His love and care. Our God will never leave us or forsake us - He is always there. He is our Rock. We can trust Him.Love & blessings, Sandra

If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.How often do we compare ourselves to others? I do it, I see others around me do it. I particularly see a lot of the youth today doing it. Our thinking says ‘I want to be like them’. ‘I’m not as good as them’. ‘Why can’t I be like that’….and so on. It’s called comparative thinking and it’s not good for us! God made us in His image and has created us uniquely and gifted us uniquely. We’re not meant to be like anyone else! In Psalm 46:1 it reads – ‘God is our refuge and strength’. Next time we start wrong thinking let’s turn to God our refuge and ask Him to remind us how loved we are by Him, how precious we are to Him and how much He delights in us just as He’s made us.With love & blessingsSandra

If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.Last week I was introduced to a new song where the words of the chorus said ‘Not to us, but to Your Name, We lift up all praise’. We sang these words a number of times during the morning. But as I did I was deeply impacted and reminded yet again that it is not about me but about JESUS!The choice I need to make as I get out of bed in the morning is to praise Him. As I go about my day no matter how it goes I need to praise Him. As I lie down at night I need to praise Him! One word of praise to Jesus can change our day, change our mindset, change our attitude and change our nature. We are better people to be around when we praise Him! Then others will see the light of Christ reflecting from us. Let’s keep praising and lifting up His Name.Love & blessingsSandra
